Inspired by Pablo Neruda’s poems in Ode to Common Things, Terri seeks abstract images in every-day surroundings. She always carries a camera and, often, a drawing journal. Her photos and life drawings form the structural basis for abstract paintings. Paintings emerge when the brush and colors sing, enlivened by light and form.
